I made this cute notebook from Crumb Cake card, some old designer series paper and a notebook that I cut down. The notebook I cut down was made from recycled milk cartons and has that printed on every 2nd page for this small notebook I got 2 pages from every recycled one, how’s that for up-cycling!
It was really easy to make once I decided on the size I wanted, I got the idea from Ashley Connelly from The Creative Space but I made mine smaller than the size in her tutorial. The only tricky part for me was getting my crop-a-dile to reach the eyelet on the front, I had to bend the page to get it in the right position. So next time I will adjust the size again so the crop-a-dile can reach. I’m quite pleased how this turned out and I might make some more as gifts for my customers. So handy to have in your purse and so cute who can resist?
2014-2015 Stampin Up! Catalogue
It’s finally here, the 2014-2015 Stampin Up! Idea Book and Catalogue has been released!! And I missed the boat by a day 🙂 There is always such a build up and I was lying in bed last night and I suddenly remembered it was the 1st and the catalogue was launched and I’d done nothing on my blog, facebook or anywhere. Oh dear!!
So here I am today letting you know that I have the catalogue on my blog so you can click through and view it online in my online store. I’m holding my launch party/open house on Friday from 7pm till 10pm so I’m busy making the kits for the projects, the giveaways and wrapping prizes. It’s not too late if you wish to join the fun just let me know ASAP!
I’ve decided to make it a free event, come along, enjoy the evening and go home with 2 projects a catalogue and maybe even a prize.
In my Craft Class this week we made a gift card holder with a difference, it contains 4 small envelopes.
Gift Card Holder
You choose what to put in each envelope some suggestions are;
- Tags with personal messages
- Tickets to an event or show
Or a mixture of these ideas and your own.
The envelopes were made using the Envelope Punch Board, then we decorated them and punched a hole in the top and tied them together with a ribbon. I got the idea and tutorial from Patty Bennett from California.
I made this beautiful card using the Happy Watercolour Stamp Set from the Occasions Catalogue. I love the subtle background made using the watercolour stamp and the delicate flowers stamped on the tag. The card base is Crisp Cantaloupe and the thank you is stamped on So Saffron in Baked Brown Sugar.
Another new favourite is the gold sequin trim, this is carrying over into the new catalogue so I’m happy about that. But sad to see the Happy Watercolour stamps retire. You have until 30 June if you would like to buy this set. The card was Cased from Julie Davison via Pinterest.
Just as well the new catalogue is full of other equally gorgeous stamps and what can be better than new stamps?? Nothing!
This is my contribution to the display board at convention this year, using the Post Card and Blooming with Kindness stamps. At the Stampin’ Up!® convention each year they have display boards where demonstrators can display a project they have created for the other demonstrators to gain inspiration from and to give recognition to the amazing ideas and creativity that we all have. We all spend ages with our cameras pouring over the display boards, it’s a great feature of the convention. This year I have created this card from an idea that originated in the catalogue and was posted by Penny Smiley to Pinterest. I picked it up from there and added my own vintage flavour.
Now you can make this card by joining my class on June 1st, check out all the details here.
