I chose happiness yesterday by spending time with my good friend Sarajane. We made this card together, cased from Julie Davidson.
Using the Choose Happiness stamp set we embossed the Pistachio Pudding card stock with Beautifully Baroque embossing folder and used Gold Bakers Twine to make it our own. Then we went for lunch at Gasket in Ellerslie. It was so lovely to spend a few hours out of the busy week just doing the things we love and it’s always better to share with a good friend.
I went to a monthly craft group yesterday and had a wonderful time creating some beautiful cards and a cute album (we will make the album in our class this Sunday). You will see some of these also in upcoming classes, here’s a look at some of the creations. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them.
Made using Traveler and Work of Art Stamp Sets
Made our own background using Forever Florals Stamp Set
I made this cute notebook from Crumb Cake card, some old designer series paper and a notebook that I cut down. The notebook I cut down was made from recycled milk cartons and has that printed on every 2nd page for this small notebook I got 2 pages from every recycled one, how’s that for up-cycling!
It was really easy to make once I decided on the size I wanted, I got the idea from Ashley Connelly from The Creative Space but I made mine smaller than the size in her tutorial. The only tricky part for me was getting my crop-a-dile to reach the eyelet on the front, I had to bend the page to get it in the right position. So next time I will adjust the size again so the crop-a-dile can reach. I’m quite pleased how this turned out and I might make some more as gifts for my customers. So handy to have in your purse and so cute who can resist?
2014-2015 Stampin Up! Catalogue
It’s finally here, the 2014-2015 Stampin Up! Idea Book and Catalogue has been released!! And I missed the boat by a day 🙂 There is always such a build up and I was lying in bed last night and I suddenly remembered it was the 1st and the catalogue was launched and I’d done nothing on my blog, facebook or anywhere. Oh dear!!
So here I am today letting you know that I have the catalogue on my blog so you can click through and view it online in my online store. I’m holding my launch party/open house on Friday from 7pm till 10pm so I’m busy making the kits for the projects, the giveaways and wrapping prizes. It’s not too late if you wish to join the fun just let me know ASAP!
I’ve decided to make it a free event, come along, enjoy the evening and go home with 2 projects a catalogue and maybe even a prize.
In my Craft Class this week we made a gift card holder with a difference, it contains 4 small envelopes.
Gift Card Holder
You choose what to put in each envelope some suggestions are;
- Tags with personal messages
- Tickets to an event or show
Or a mixture of these ideas and your own.
The envelopes were made using the Envelope Punch Board, then we decorated them and punched a hole in the top and tied them together with a ribbon. I got the idea and tutorial from Patty Bennett from California.
