Stitched Framelits Watercolour Butterfly Card
This pretty stitched framelits watercolour butterfly card was inspired by one made by Susan Wong in the grey, white and copper colour pallete. I needed something pink and girly for a friend so I changed the colours and used a pink butterfly.
If you love to create and love the small added details that really finish off a project, the Stitched Framelits are the perfect solution. Not only do they cut the perfect shape every time, they also add the oh so cute stitched details, while you run it through the big shot. Continue reading
November and April are both special months in the Stampin’ Up!® calendar as that’s when On Stage is held. The theme for On Stage Live 2016 in Brisbane was ‘Celebrating You’ and it set the tone for what was the best Stampin’ Up! event I have attended. It was wonderful to have so many of my team there and be part of a large group, it was much more fun than ever before.
What is On Stage? – It’s a gathering of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and staff around the world. We craft, talk business, share ideas, celebrate achievements and launch new catalogues. Getting to go to On Stage is definitely one of the best “perks” of being a demonstrator – they’re not open to anyone else! If you’re keen to get to the next one in six months time, talk to me about how! I’d love to have you in my Team and join me at On Stage Local next April in Auckland!
The Whole Team at On Stage Live 2016
This time it was a get together with others for a Paperartsie team play date. We arranged to meet and everyone bought a plate for a shared lunch, 3 of us prepared projects to teach and Barbara had some extra projects for those who had time to stay a bit longer. It was a fabulous afternoon!
These are the 3 projects we all made together as a group. The centre card is a twist and flip (or something like that). It is in 3 parts, one of them makes the inner part flip out when you open the card.
Every year Stampin’ Up!® bring out so many gorgeous sets of stamps and it’s impossible to buy and use them all! This bundle is now on my wish list as I had the chance to create this Star of Light Card using it.
I was invited to a demonstrator play date last month with the opportunity to ‘play’ with 4 sets from the holiday catalogue. Wow!! It was so much fun!
We each received a bag containing card stock, designer series paper, ribbon, vellum, gold foil or glimmer paper. There were 4 tables set up with different supplies and we could just have a play and make whatever we liked.
Talk about kids in a lolly shop!! While we created we chatted and had a yummy morning tea as everyone had bought a small plate. We spent a wonderful 2 hours chilling out with craft supplies and friends, I hope they do it again soon.
Star of Light Card
My card was made using the Star of Light stamp set and Starlight Thinlits Dies. It was loosely based on the sample shown on page 9 of the Holiday Catalogue.
