Petal Palette Pocket Card
Petal Palette is such a versatile and sweet set and here it coordinates with lots of other stamp sets and dies. This card uses many of my lovely stamp sets, Petal Palette, Jar of Love, Hello Friend, Timeless Textures and Floral Phrases as well as Eclectic Layers, Lots of Labels, Petals & More and Sweet Cake Dies. I cased this card from Jackie Aitken because I wanted an extra special card to acknowledge a friend’s amazing achievement.
The pocket and insert are super easy and fast to make using the Envelope Punch Board. The base however is not really seen, it’s all about how it’s decorated.
I chose the 10.5 x 14.8cm envelope size on the Envelope Punch Board to create the pocket. I used my trimmer to remove one of the end flaps to make the opening.
For the inner (10.5 cm x 14.8 cm) I have used the Amazing You stamp set. It’s such a shame that this set has retired now as it’s so versatile. I fussy cut 2 layers of the flower and adhered them on top of the black stamp.
Pocket Card Details
A panel of Berry Burst Card Stock was cut using Lots of Labels Framelit dies and tucked in behind the Sahara Sand belly band, stamped with Congratulations from Floral Phrases. To this I added a Whisper White trellis die cut, made using the Petal Palette Thinlets.
I fussy cut the stamped leaves from Jar of Love and the Berry Burst flowers from Hello Friend. A Powder Pink die cut flower from Eclectic Layers and Black leaf from Sweet Cake framelits created the other elements. There is a thinlet die to cut out the wee bird stamped in Memento Black.
I added a Whisper White stitched circle to the top of the insert and stapled some Berry Burst and Sheer White ribbon on to pull the inner from the pocket.
The splatters in Berry Burst on the Whisper White pocket was a stamp from Timeless Textures. I love the feature Jackie made with the beautiful Berry Burst Metallic-Edge Ribbon with Whisper White Organza Ribbon and Bakers Twine.
I love how easy this card was to make, the fact that it used so many stamp sets and dies and it’s so pretty. Now to write my congratulatory message.
