vanessa a crafty history
My first memories are of colouring books, I loved to colour and painstakingly made sure I coloured within the lines. But I’ve tried my hand at lots of handcrafts over the years, mostly influenced by what my Mum was making. These include sewing, cross stitch, trichem (fabric paints), knitting (never really caught on).
Other interests include movies particularly English, Italian and French films, baking and cooking, travel, reading and yoga.
I wanted to be a teacher when I was younger and people say I’m good at teaching because I’m very patient. And I’d love to make a difference to someone’s life just by sharing what I love.
So I blog to share what I’ve created and also to encourage others to give things a try. Also to promote my paper craft classes, purchases made help me buy more crafty product and create more.
Confetti – little pieces of paper
This is my love. My passion is paper, ever since I can remember I loved stationery, especially those packs of cards or paper and envelopes with pretty flowers. Now I love card making, specifically with Stampin’ Up! The main reason for this is the co-ordination, I’m a bit of a perfectionist and used to get frustrated when I couldn’t get a ribbon to exactly match a piece of card.
more about vanessa
I work from home contracting to an importing co and I make cards and run classes. I sell my cards at a 2 monthly markets and I’m adding a shop to my blog this year.
I was introduced to Stampin’ Up! by my Aunt, she has a monthly class for the family so her sister in law, daughter in law, my Mum and Grandmother (in her 90’s) and me all attend.
